Rohingya moslem case

THE OPINNION

In my opinion, the case of the massacre of Rohingya Muslims by Buddhist monks of Myanmar is very alarming. It can no longer be tolerated, especially it was a discrimination and it has been violated a human right.

Even though Ashin Wirathu as a spokesperson of the Buddhist monk suggests the reason, but that reason does not make sense, the two reasons which he was explained as the main cause of the incident is not proven; the first reason, he said that the Rohingya Muslims would take over Myanmar through the explosion of the Muslim demographic, they would disrupt Myanmar’s Buddhist identity. It was not true, based on the economists at Harvard 's Ash Center for democratic governance and innovation, it was not found increasing in the number of Rohingya Muslim population. Instead, since 1950, there are many  Rohingya Muslims who move to the area of Bangladesh. I think the facts that has emplained by the economist at Harvard, have been enough reason to deny them; the second reason of Wirathu is the Rohingya Muslims want to overthrow the rule of Myanmar and participated in the mujahideen movement, this is also a weak reason. Because, as we know that Rohingya Muslims is a minority in Myanmar.

Generally, the conflict among them motivated by the discomfort of Buddhist monks to a Rohingya Muslims. So they intended to expel and eliminate the Rohingya community from Myanmar.

However, it has violated human rights and must be stopped. On the other hand, the conflict could disrupt economic conditions and the stability Myanmar, moreover, Myanmar will be a chairman of the ASEAN in 2014.
